2024 BIPOC Educator Research Fellowship
Application due: July 26th 2024
As part of our commitment to ensure the research directives from the Handbook of Research on Teachers of Color and Indigenous Teachers are advanced in the future, the National Center for Research on Educator Diversity (NCRED) established an annual fellowship dedicated to educator diversity.
The fellowship award is $30,000 and takes place Fall 2024 – Spring 2025. The primary goal of the fellowship will be to strategically advance the dissemination of the knowledge base by supporting the: (a) curation of a sustainable research-practice partnership network of scholars committed to advancing educator diversity research; and (b) development of research, policy and practice knowledge products to reach a broader cross-section of education stakeholders.
The fellowship is designed for scholars, preferably with a PhD in a related area of study, who have a commitment to work on NCRED projects that advance scholarship on educator diversity. Researchers, policy intermediaries, and thought leaders without terminal degrees are also encouraged to apply, but they must demonstrate a strong track record related to research, practice, and/or policy dedicated to educator diversity.
